I’m singing in the raining! No just kidding 😊
At the weekend I scheduled to go running in the morning and got up and went…in the rain!!
Why does that sound like a big deal to me?? Because I used to hate running in the rain (like for real) I don’t like my feet getting wet. You would not have caught me running in the rain a while back.
All this changed when I started keeping company with a lovely friend as a weekly running buddy. I remember those days I would look out and say to myself ‘no way we are going to run in this rain’, and she would say to me ‘oh what a lovely weather to run’ – for real!!
I would reluctantly go and then feel glad afterwards that I didn’t put it off. We did this even while training for half marathon races. You know what I’m glad I got into the habit cos on the actual half marathon race day, it was raining!
Now fast forward to this weekend and I just picked up my running shoes and went running! What happened to the old Sylvia?
This just reminds me about determination and the company one keeps. When you define your health goals, find the right company to keep.
Someone who will go on the journey with you.
Someone who will hold you accountable to your goals and keep you going.
Someone whose higher belief will challenge your level of thinking and push you to be the best version of yourself.
